Companion Animal Placement Assistance (CAPA) volunteers work directly with the animals that pass through the Lompoc Animal Shelter.

We welcome new volunteers and will be glad to talk with you about participating in our work. Please call us at 737-7754 and leave your name and telephone number, or visit us at the shelter to see the work we do there. At the shelter, you can pick up an application form. You must be 18 or over to work with us without parental supervision. Our dues are $10.00 per year, and you must go through a short training to work at the shelter.
